Hi,

on creating a new procedure within WorkSpace I can supply a
file name when clicking check box Generate Script, but this
file name (and even the path) is forgotten by Workspace when
I save the procedure later within the procedure editor (Save
as ...). This happens at least when file name is different
to procedure name.

Best regards
Andreas

Andreas,

The "generate script" option is independent of the stored procedure editor.
So when you do "Save As" it doesn't have any knowledge that the stored
procedure was earlier saved in a file before it was created in the database.
Unless I misunderstood your posting, it would be hard to support that in the
tooling considering it is an open-ended scenario.

Regards,
Samir

Samir,

maybe this could be an issue for one of the next version. It
is annoying to click through many directories to save the
physical file where it belongs with the correct name within
the naming rules in our project.

Furthermore Workspace does not display all the file names in
the directories in the 'Save as ...' dialog to make saving a
little bit easier. So I will have to edit the file name
manually on storing. I guess a tool should adapt to project
demands and not vice versa.

Thanks and regards
Andreas
