Hello,

Is it possible to connect from a .Net application on a WM5
device directly to a ASA8 database
running on our network? The mobile device will be connecting
wireless toour network.
What would I need to acomplish this?

All help will be greatly appreciated.

regards.

Arnoud,

Providing the Windows Mobile 5 device is connected to the network, the
connection would be no different than a normal .NET connection.

Here's an example using ASA 8: http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1025333

BTW, Running a network connection to a database from a Windows Mobile 5
device could be really slow. I would recommend looking at running a
database on the device, then using MobiLink to synchronize the data to
the ASA 8 database.
