Hi again ...
when I read a mail on my pda, it will be read on my notes
client too. But when I read a mail on my notes client, it
will not be read on the pda.
Is this still a bug? Will this function be back in a later
beta version?

Oliver

Oliver,

Thanks for your post and for using the beta. What you are seeing is
working as expected. This is our "lazy read" behavior. In order to
reduce the amount of data traffic sent between our Notes add-in and the
Domino server(s) and also to reduce the amount (and frequency) of data
traffic between server and device, we don't send changes in the read
flag status on the server immediately to the client. We'll send that
updated read flag status when another "major" email or PIM event occurs,
such as when a new email comes in, or we'll send that updated read
status every 3 minutes (I believe that is the default) -- whichever
comes first. This "lazy read" setting is configurable as to whether it's
on or off, and also the length of time it'll wait to send the read flag
change if no other email/PIM event comes in is configurable. Are you
seeing the read status change on the device after 3 minutes or after a
new email comes in? If not, you are seeing a bug. Otherwise, you are
just seeing that "lazy read" behavior working. Does that make sense?

HTH,
Brad

Hi again,
you are right, it works exactly this way.
Great thing ...
