How can I determine if the text being displayed in a textbox
control fits the size of the control. If I have a longer
text than the control I would like to resize the control so
that it will autoVScroll. I will do this in a datawindow, so
maybe I will just change detailheight of particular rows
that the text are long. so the detailheight of my datawindow
varies depending on the size of the text to display.

How can I do this?

Thanks,
Neil

Just to make sure I'm reading this right, you want the height of the
control to grow if the text is too long so that the text will wrap to a
second line. And you're doing this in a DataWindow. If that's the case,
then unselect the "Auto Horizontal Scroll" property (on the "Edit" tab)
and do select the "Autosize Height" property (on the "Position" tab).
You'll also want to select the "Autosize Height" property for the detail
band itself.

Hi Neil,

You can set autovscroll of any column in datawindow.

and also u can set height of individual row by using
follwing method of datawindow.

integer dwcontrol.SetDetailHeight ( long startrow, long
endrow , long height )

if u want to set height of single row then enter that row
number in startrow and endrow arguments.

I hope u get it.

Thanks & Regards
