Hi All

I have problem when traying to get the value of a compute
inside de summary band.

I tried with, but doesn´t work.

string ls_request
ls_request = dw_1.object.summary.object.compute_2.text


hope you could give me the right expression.

First, use GetItemXXX rather than dot notation when you want a single
value - it's much cleaner internally
Second, use row 1 for objects that are in the summary band
ls_request = dw_1.GetItemString(1, 'compute_2')

Er, wouldn't you want to use rowcount() for values in the summary band?
Just pretend that the compute is actually in every detail row, if your
compute is not an aggregate expression you might get a different value
for row 1.

Oh, maybe. Since the summary band occurs only once per report, it's very
likely that aggregate functions are the only ones that will be useful. Row
number probably doesn't matter but if you need to specify it you can. Sort
of like a group header or trailer where any row number within the group will
work.
