I want to implement moving rows up/down in a tabular datawindow for changing
the sequence of some data. Any function for that? Any suggestions?


e.g. clicking on row 2 and then making it either row number 3 or 1.

That would certainly change the order of the display, but without data
changes the order will revert as soon as you retrieve, sort, or filter. So
it depends on what A N has in mind.

That's what I thought of doing.... setitem() for sequence column and
re-sorting.

I implemented this (many years ago in V7) with drag and drop. The user
grabbed the row they wanted to move, and dropped it in the "gap" where they
wanted it to go. Do the setItem() and sort() in the dragDrop event.

If you drag out (above or below), then you scroll the list one row at a
time. Makes for a great interface...
