I'd like to simulate having let's say 50-100 users perform queries against a
database server. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to best acomplish
that?

I'm sure there are probably some very expensive comercial packages out there
that I can't afford, so I'm looking for a cheap way of doing some basic load
testing.

Thanks
Germano

Yes, there are some commercial apps out there. I've tried one
in the past. It was OK. Worked on a PC only and was heavily
interactive.

For some home brew stuff, its easy to write some shell or
perl scripts that just loop and run things over and over.
Fire these from cron and run as many as you want.
