I got an error window while using Sybase Central in [Sybase
Adaptive Server Anywhere Network Server Version 8.0.3.5426]
that said something like "Submit this error to Sybase."

How do I submit this error log to Sybase as requested?

I saved it as a file and Sybase Central promptly crashed.
The database server did not seem to be affected.

I was trying to View Data in Interactive SQL. I had viewed
other tables without error.

Freddie,

Before answering your question, I just wanted to inform you that 8.0.3
has been End Of Life'd (EOL'd) as of January 31, 2008. (See:
http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1050017 ). This means that there is no
engineering support for 8.0.x products, and any bugs found will be fixed
in versions 9.0.2 and up (See: http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1002288 ).

That all said, you can still submit the information to us and we may fix
it in version 9.0.2 if it is an unaddressed issue.

You may wish to visit our EBF site to upgrade your 8.0.3 installation to
see if the issue has been fixed in the last released EBF (currently
8.0.3.5574 on Windows x86 -
http://downloads.sybase.com/swd/detail.do?relid=10392&baseprod=144&client=ianywhere
)

---

The way to submit bugs depends on how fast you'd like a response. The
(free) method is to submit a bug through CaseExpress (
http://case-express.sybase.com/ and "Create Bug Report Case"), however
please note this is NOT a priority service and we will investigate the
case "when we have additional time."

If this is a major issue for you that needs priority attention given to
it, your best bet is to open a support case (1-800-8SYBASE) using an
existing technical contract, or open a pay-per-incident case.

Regards,

Thanks, Jeff.

I probably won't upgrade, as our iAnywhere is installed as
part of a bundle (Fluke MET/CAL v7.2). A new version of
MET/CAL is due soon, so hopefully they have designed it
around an updated version of iAnywhere.

I'll submit the bug via case-express just in case it hasn't
been addressed.

Thanks again,
Freddie Lochner
