I try to connect to an ORACLE XE via ODBC. That works fine
in native PowerBuilder. Also the tests for Connection and
Connection Cache in APPEON succeed.
But when I run appeon I get the message "Error 10999;
Keyword not supported: 'dsn'". And next "Error 10001; Failed
to find the transaction 'sqlca'in the current session.
Please check wether you have connected the database

I am new to Appeon. Does anybody know what tha

Hi Ludwin,
Do you use Appeon Server for .NET or Appeon Server for
EAServer?
For .Net version you can only use Oracle Native driver to
connect to the database. ODBC driver only works for ASE and
ASA.
For J2EE version you can JDBC driver.

Regards,
Steven

Hi Steven,
Yes! I use .NET :-(
So I will try if I can make a native connection to XE as the
next level in this big adventure game ;-).
-- native to XE ? Will this be possible at all?

If that fails I will go and install "the real" Oracle.

Thanks, Ludwin

Hi Ludwin,

I think it would be possible. You can try to install the XE
client on this machine and connect to it with native driver.

Regards
Sally

I am not sure if native to XE is possible. I am
