I have been assigned a project for which my client has
Sybase product. I am working for the first time and
basically a beginner. So please provide me information as to
what questions I have to ask my client if I have to
replicate an entire setup over at my office.

(1) What is the exact name, version and build number of the Sybase
product?

The next question(s) depend on the answer to (1) since Sybase makes a
LOT of products that do a LOT of different things.

But, let's say the answer is "SQL Anywhere 10.0.1.3579"; the next
questions might be:

(2) How big is the database? (file size, tables, columns, rows) How
many users? How many active users at one time?

(3) May I have a copy of the production *.DB file? If not, may I have
the schema-only reload.sql file from a run of dbunload -n? (that way
you can create your own empty copy of their database)

Feel free to ask more question *here*, too :)
