Would a traditional ASE database perform the same on ASE CE?
If we load the traditiona ASE dump on ASE CE will it work
the same ? or any changes needed to the db schema specific
to ASE CE?

Is sybase going to drop the traditional ASE and have only
ASE CE (single node / multiple node option) ?

Do we need to code with ASE CE in mind to avoid major future
code changes when moved to ASE CE?

It will work, but in terms of performance it depends on the access
pattern and how you intend to use the cluster.

I don't see this happening any time soon, if at all. We are working to
bring the two products closer together, essentially bringing CE up to
par with the latest ASE features so that in the future we can release an
equivalently CE at more or less the same time as regular ASE.

It really depends on if you intend to deploy clusters in the future, how
your app works, and how you would want to use clusters.
