Hi,
I have two questions:
1. We are using version 9.0.2 in a client server configuration. My
question is when I install SQL Anywhere Studio 9 and EBF 3044 on the
"client" computer can I just install the drivers? I guess what I am really
asking is if all they need is access to the database on the server, do they
really just need the drivers and is there a way I can only install the
drivers?

2. If I install on a per seat model, how is the number of seats tracked?

Thanks,
Loya

1. Yes. You only need to install the client. The install offers an
option to install only the client if you select "custom". This will
install all the client software so that may be overkill for your needs.
You can also install manually (or as part of your client install) just
the client software you require. For details, look for Deploying in the
documentation.

2. The engine will limit connections to the number of seats that you
have indicated during the install or via changes using dblic. This does
not ensure that the licensing is in compliance so there is still a need
to ensure that the number of clients installed matches the licensing.
That effort is still left to the holder of the license.
