hi all :

Is there someone who develop the java program to connect to the
ultralite or asa on the embeded OS?

I read the document of SQL Anywhere and I found that we can use the ASA
on windows mobile and the ultralite could be used in the symbian OS. But
none of them provide the java api on these platform. Is there someone
develop on these platforms in java language? May I connect to these
databases in java on these platforms? If you can give out a example, it will
be better.

A very simple example is ok. In this example, the code can connect to db
and execute a most simple sql.

thanks a lot.

best regards,

Nan Wang

And if someone could give some other solutions, it will be helpful.

What I want is that program in java and use the asa and ultralite. Maybe we
can program a tcpip interface for asa and ultralite and use the j2me send
the request through the tcpip.

Got another question:

May I sync the data with the ultralite on the symbian?

Anyway there are three question:

1. May I connect to ASA in java language on windows mobile ? May I
connect to Ultralite in the java language on windows mobile, symbian and
palm? Then, how to do that?

2. Is there some solution for the communication between a java program
and the ASA database on windows mobile. Is there some solution for the
communication between a java program and the ultralite on windows mobile,
symbian and palm.

3. May I sync the data between ultralite on Symbian and consolidated
database by mobilink?

Thanks a lot.

No, UltraLite does not provide a Java interface.

Yes, isn't this the same as question 1?

You can use jConnect to connect to ASA which is a type 4 Java driver
which is shipped with SQL Anywhere.

I believe you can also use the iAnywhere JDBC-ODBC driver, which is
what DBISQL and Sybase Central use to talk to ASA on Windows Mobile.

You are repeating yourself, see above.

NW> 3. May I sync the data between ultralite on Symbian and

Yes, see above.
