I'm having a tough time figuring this one out and I don't
want to play around and lose documents...I have two offices,
thus two PC's. Our company uses Lotus Notes 6.5 (not sure
if I'm using the correct term, but the data is on the
server, not the local machine) server. When I sync on #1
PC, it works fine, syncs my calendar, mail, contacts, etc.
I get a pop-up that wants my Lotus password. Fine, that's
what I want. But it won't sync with the same Lotus database
on my other machine.

I read the user guide, and it seems as if this is only
supported on the Palm version, not the Windows Mobile
platform...is that correct? Is there no workaround, or am I
missing something obvious?

Thanks mucho.

You are correct, the option to sync with multiple PCs is only available
for the Palm platform, and I am not too sure how well it works. The
difference is that the flat-file databases that track which records have
been synched are normally stored on the PC. With the multi-PC option
checked, these files are stored on the Palm. This feature was never
ported to Windows Mobile.

Without this feature, it would be a bad idea to sync on different PCs,
because the local databases would not be in sync, and you would almost
certainly get duplication, probably with certain entries being
replicated with every sync.

Pylon Desktop has been end-of-lifed for Engineering, so the multi-PC
feature will not be added for Windows Mobile. iAnywhere's long-term
desktop solution for email and PIM synchronization is called XTNDConnect
PC (XCPC), which you can read about here:
http://www.sybase.com/products/allproductsa-z/xtndconnectpc . However, I
suspect it would also be a bad idea to try to run this on multiple PCs.
