Good Morning All,

I am having trouble doing something that (in my own mind)
should be fairly simple. I have a datawindow with Compute
Expressions, and I only want part of the display to show up
as bold face... For example:
My Compute Expression is 'STATIC TEXT' + column_name

In the resulting display, I only want STATIC TEXT to show up
with a bold font...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Rob

Not possible without a RichText control.

Not exactly, but you can try this technique

Hi Rob;

The only way I know of is to create this scenario two as separate
objects - that is a Static Text plus the Column side by side. Then bold the
ST and use the "Slide Left" on the adjacent column to snug it up at run
time. Remember that you can add any column multiple times to DW object and
in any band.

Chris,

That is the way the existing DW presents... It is an
application where the end user enters answers on the web and
it is evaluated back here. More and more lately, the
candidates are getting very verbose, so the DW has been
cutting off their answers. I turned Autosize to on, and
then we could read all the dialog, but it no longer lined up
with the question. That is why I am migrating everything to
computed columns with the static text embedded before the
column data.

Thanks though... I am going to give Chris' solution a try.
