I need to access an ADS 9 database via a Linked Server in MS SQL Srvr 2000.
I've installed the OLE DB drivers and sure enough "Advantage OLE DB
Provider" comes up in the list under Provide name.

However I'm having trouble filling in the Linked Server Properties box.
Basically it's looking for the following information:

Product name ...
Data source ...
Provider string ...
Catalog ...

I've no idea what any of these should be.

Any help very much appreciated.

Hello Simon,
The "Connection String Parameters" page in our OLEDB provider help book has
information about what those should be. An online version of the page can
be found here:

Can anyone post a Step by step of exactly how to configure a linked server
to MS SQL 2k. It seems this question has come up several times and never
gets clearly answered.

Thanks
