Hello!
When i design a Textcolumn as a Textfield it uses the Windows theme. So
I think, that it is a real Windows common Textfield. Is there a way to
get the handle of this Textfield?

I want to set the CUEBANNER(new in Windows Vista) in some textfields of
my Datawindows. For this, I need to send a Message (sendMessage()) to
the Textfield.

Greetings
Alex

No, it is not. The DataWindow is rendered as a bitmap. There is a
"floating" edit field that sits on top of whatever column currently has
focus. You can obtain the handle to this "floating" field using the
GetFocus() API call. (You'll have to use an alias to get around PB's
native GetFocus() method.) Philip Salgannik clued me in on that... see
the details at

I did this long time ago with initial values for fields in datawindow and
some simple code in itemfocuschanged event of the datawindow. No windows
messages, nothing :-)
