Is it possible to run batch script sql files within workspace?

PowerDesigner outputs batch scripted files that include statements such
as "isql -i file.sql" which presumably run in isql and allow nested
scripts to run.

This would be very useful for running Production DB updates. Currently,
we version control a DB alter scripts that contain all the updates
relevant to the update. It would be preferable to version control N
files each of which contained a logical work unit and during a release
meeting, we decide which of them are to be included. We could then
batch script the included files and run that batch script.

I've just discovered that I can multiple select files from the workspace
naviagator and run those in a batch (which is really handy), but it
would still be handy to be able to script this.

Thanks!

Gareth

Hi, Gareth:

If you specify multi SQL files and select 'Execute SQL Files' from context
menu in WorkSpace Navigator view, a dialog will be popped up. you can order
the selected files and run them in batch.

WorkSpace also provide the way to customize your batch script sql files and
run them by external tools like 'isql'. In Database Development perspective,
select Run --> External Tools --> Open External Tools Dialog. You can
configure and run programs, batch files. And you also can save these
external tool configurations and run them at a later time.

Hope them meet your requirements.
