hi all,

Our customer want to migrate the onebridge server to a new machine.
We meet some problem in this process.

Notes Server:6.5.4
OS:windows 2003
OneBridge: 5.5

The old server and the new server almost have the same configration.
Also they use the same license and have the same computer name.
The old server was in the domain, while the new one was belong to workgroup.

The main difference is that the old machine was in the same network with
Notes Server.
While the new machine was in the DMZ.

The old server work fine.
The new server can use notes client to receive the mail from Notes server.
And the Notes Adpter testing was passed.
We close the antivirus program(Macfee).

When we open the onebridge client, Reset the client and connect to the new
server,
The Initializing sync is OK, we can get the new profile.
But client stop at "waiting for lotus notes respons".
The only way is click cancel. And the session finish with error
log"connection lost".

At the new onebridge server. We can find the log said,

During a groupware sync the initializing phase consists of the sync engine
gather record level changes from both the device and the adapter (which
contacts the groupware server) as well as gathering any setting changes.
These setting changes generally are about the filters (how many days to
sync, whether or not to truncate and at what data count, etc).

When the client is displaying "Waiting for Lotus Notes response" the sync
server is gathering record level changes from the Notes adapter and
comparing them with changes from the device. After the sync engine has
coalesced the changes, figured out if there are conflicts, figured out which
records need to be read, deleted, and modified, it is time for the adapter
to perform these tasks against the Notes server. At this time the client
screen will show something like "Updating".

Depending on the amount of changes and the filters these stages can take
some time. Even one user who has a lot of changes can take some time, so the
delay is not necessarily related to topology or number of users. However, if
there are a lot of users syncing at one time this will certainly create more
load on the server and potentially either process mentioned above can get
queued until the load subsides, which can add delay time.

Thank Mike.

We fix the problem now.
It's because of their firework setting.
