Robert,

You can find information on the Afaria Outbound Public Web Services in the
Afaria Reference Manual - API

http://frontline.sybase.com/support/fileDownload.aspx?ID=1350

Also if you want to test the web service outside of the Afaria Administrator
web console, there is a command line utility:

Outbound Notifications can be initiated from the command line using the
XSNOTIFYCLIENT utility. The XSNOTIFYCLIENT.EXE applications resides in the
\Afaria\bin directory. Executing XSNOTIFYCLIENT /? will give provide
command syntax. Please note that if folders are used they also need to be
specified in front of the channel or channel set followed by a \. If there
are spaces in the path, then double quotes must be used around the entire
path. In general, the command line option can be used to avoid assigning
full rights to users.

The Afaria Administrator page that provides the web service is found:
(assuming default paths)

http://<ServerName>/<VirtualDirectoryName>/DataAccess/AfariaNotificationRequest/AfariaNotificationRequest.asmx

Thanks,

Chris
