Since there is system reqiurement of RAM, CPU, HDD for Afaria server on
Afaria web site, I would like to ask about the system requirement of
PocketPC & WinCE client. A CT is planning mobile development. They wants to
the resource reqiurement of Afaria client on WM & WinCE device in terms of
memory, CPU, and HDD. Then they can decide what device to purchase.

Jencheng,

We don't list hardware specific requirements for handhelds. There are just
way to many variations of RAM vs ROM memory amounts as well as wide variety
of types and speeds of processors that one can acquire.

We only have system requirements for Windows Mobile (Pocket PC & Smartphone)
and WinCE listed in the Release Notes that are specific to OS version and
processor type.

The best place for your customer to start would be to review the Validated
Device document available on Sybase.com:

http://www.sybase.com/supporteddevices

I would direct your customer to choose a device that has been validated to
be compatible with Afaira.
Thanks,
Chris

In order to meet the requirement of the customer, is it possible to get the
system requirement of WM6 and WinCE5.0 devices? At least, it would be
wonderful we can know the memory requirement of which Afaria Client is
installed. It is reasonable no certian answer for Afaria client working with
many channels on the device.
