I am using pb11.2, do you know any way to PRINT or Saveas two separate
datawindows to single PDF file.

The reason is that I have to create an invoice (pdf) from two sources (two
datawindows).

Any direction please !!!

Make a composite datawindow. Put both datawindows in it, one right after
the other in the Detail band. Do a ShareData() from the original
datawindows into each child dw in the composite. Now do the SaveAs() from
the composite.

Hi Paul,

I find composite that it may a solution, but composite can't display all the
data of both dws & both dws are located in detail.

Composite Report structure
1. Composite report with two DWs within detail section
2. Which DW itself embed 2 subreports
3. Print as PDF in WebForm

Result
1. Can group to DWs into a PDF
2. But data missing in which dw while the data retrieval is ok

I don't which part I missed to complete

???????

Frankie;

Have a look at the PrintDataWindow ( ) method in PB if you have a PDF
printer to direct the DWO's towards.

In addition to what has been suggested, you might also consider just
generating the two PDFs and then concatenating them together using
iText. There's an example on CodeXchange.

It's the "protectPDF" sample in the PDF folder in the Documents and
Files section:

https://powerbuilder.codexchange.sybase.com/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=868&expandFolder=868&folderID=454

Looks like I didn't mention iText in the description, but that's what
I used.

FWIW, the EJBConnection class is also a good way to call local java
classes without involving PBNI/JNI (the approach I took with the iText
sample).
