I've recently installed Mobile Office on a Lotus Domino
Server (we're doing the 30 day eval to see how it works
with the iPhone). Everything went fine with the install, I
added/registered myself with the Mobile Office Admin,
I installed the iAnywhere app on the iPhone plugged in the
settings and I can now successfully search for contacts
in our companies public address book. (here's where my
troubles start) I'm having problems adding a new mail
account
on the iPhone so I can pull my email. After plugging in the
information it requests I select Save, it starts
verifying IMAP account information, after a minute or so I
get an error that states:
Cannot connect using SSL
Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
I can see that it's talking with the proxy because if I
put in my user name without the company id I get an error
stating: Cannot Get Mail
The user name or password
for "proxy server" is incorrect.
Is there a setting I'm missing on the iPhone or on the
server? In the Mobile Office Admin I can see on my account
it shows the Device Type: iPhone Status: Online Pending:
241
and in the log viewer I don't see any errors.
These are the settings I'm using on the iPhone:
Host Name: <name of proxy server>
User Name: <co id>:<user name>
Password: <my Lotus Domino intranet password>

Thanks in advance.

On a side note I was able to register a user and set them up
on a Pocket PC device successfully (receiving email,
calendar, contacts etc...) So this leads me to believe that
it has to do with an iPhone setting.??
