I'm uisng ASA9 and I'm facing the following problem:
Some commands deletion sent to the database by a batch process could not be
executed successfully, even though the data to be deleted has no related
data ; so it's not a matter of referential integrity.
My question is : does ianywhere perform any kind of locking on the data that
may deny the order deletion sent , knowing that some processes that maybe
running in parallel with the deletion process are using CURSORS ?
Note that it'sot a matter of access rights or security becuase many other
similar commands are successfully executed...
Thanks in advance !

1) You should be posting in sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general. This group
is used for our Answers Anywhere product (if you are into natural languages
should look at it)
2) Yes SQL Anywhere does all sorts of locking to ensure concurrency. There
is not enough information in your post to be able to be much help. In the
other newsgroup, please describe exactly what is going on, what "not be
executed successfully" means. There will probably be lots of questions
about your post but I expect it will get figured out.
