Hello,
I have installed onebridge 5.5 with Lotus Notes Adapter for a client and had
problem with some users.
We can't find id files for these users, and groupware adapter test fail
everytime for these users.
All users with id files stored on Notes server work fine either through
groupware adapter or mobile device.
The notes administrator said they use Notes Internet port since very
beginning and never use these id files.
And some id files lost in last system and hardware migration.
When we open .nsf by notes admin client software, we can't locate those lost
id files neither.
Is there anyway we can help the client out?

Thanks in advance.

Jane Liu

See the Admin Help file and look up information about "User Data Access
Method" in the "Notes Adapter Configuration - Login Information". If you
are using the Individual User ID file" method, consider changing to using
the "Primary ID file" method.

User Data Access Method

Use the primary ID file

Select this option if the Notes Adapter should use its Primary ID file to
access the user databases when synchronizing. If this is selected, the Notes
Adapter user ID must have Manager access in each user's ACL and be able to
read, write, create, and delete documents.

When this option is selected, the Notes Adapter will authenticate each user
using their Internet Password as found in the Domain Address Book.

To automatically configure the ACL of users' databases, see the Notes Client
Setup Wizard utility (NotesClientSetup.nsf) in the \Clients\Notes Setup
directory on the Sync Server installation CDRom.

Use individual user ID files

Select this option if the Notes Adapter should use each individual user's ID
file to access the user databases. This option does not require any changes
to the users' ALCs, but does require that the Notes Adapter have physical
access to each user's ID file either on the local machine or on the network.

We have tried both method.
For primary ID files, those users without id files have error message "group
error" through adapter test and failed.
But all users with id files work fine.
For individual user id files, we only test users with id files and work
fine.
