Hi there,

I am currently using
MBEntWin32EN_6_7_54.exe
...the Windows Client for M-Biz 6.7

I have:
1) Added a server and synchronised an application (this is
required it seems to access the desired functionality).

I wish to point our application to access an external site,
so to test this I do:
a) Go to File > Open Page.
b) Type in a URL.

However, I am encountering a problem.

If the website is hosted within our local area network, then
this functionality works fine.

However, if the website is external, e.g. Amazon, BBC,
Google, etc, then I get the following error message:

Error Reading From Host. There was an error reading
http://www.amazon.co.uk/.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Shao

If I disconnect the PC from the local area network and then
connect a PDA to the PC via ActiveSync and then enable
Internet Connection Sharing on the PDA....

I get the following error message within M-Biz.
Online connection error
Error 5470: Cannot find server or there was a DNS error.

However, Internet Explorer works just fine making use of the
PDA's internet connection.

Testing done on a Windows Mobile 6 Palm Treo device.

Cheers,

Shao

Shao,

Unfortunately, the MBA Client is NOT a web browser. (Although, in
design, I agree there are many similarities. :)

The MBA client is a client of the MBA server. All requests for external
pages go through the MBA server and are then proxied back to the client.
The client itself cannot access webpages.

So, in order to browse webpages in the "Online" mode of the MBA Client,
there must be an active, reachable, M-Business server (and is defined in
AGConnect) to talk to. Once you get to that point, review your access
logs to see if the request is being made out to the external sites and
that the M-Business server can also access the external sites.

Cheers,
