I have received reply from Armstrong. Never comes back to my
next question. unfortunately I am new to Power Builder world
entirely. Have been doing ASP.NET 2.0 development for 2yrs
now.

My current requirement is to consume web methods in PB
developed app using DataWindow component. No proper
resources unfortunately. I dont know how to create a
Transaction object etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you. I am new to PB and sure how to do this. could you
suggest where can i find a good sybook or reference to do
this?

if you can help me step by step way would be highly
appreciated.

Regards
Raju

Thanks John. Is there a quicker way like Videos / webcasts
on this. I would go throught this 'Getting Started' some
point.

Time being i like to get this done.

1) use Web Service Data Window to call a Web Method in PB
app
2) Web method i m trying to execute in PB App, needs user
authentication, so i need to create Transaction object to
authenticate the user before the web method is exectuted in
PB

Thats all i wanted to do.

Thanks,

Thank you John. Would go this way.

I think it works same approach when I wanted to
-- use a Button control and
-- in btnClick event I call Web Services DataWindow
-- authenticatation code used to before WSDW call to execute
the Web Method
