I have several columns in my datawindow that are dropdown
datawindows. However, I would like to retrieve subsequent
columns based on what users choose in a previous dropdown
datawindow/column. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mauro

The hitch on that idea is that a retrieve or filter is applied to all rows,
not just the current one. That will make the display values wrong or missing
in non-current rows. A common workaround is to have two copies of the
column: one for display only that never gets filtered, and one for update
that does. The two copies will be the same size and position, but will have
mirror Visible expressions.
For the update copy, if(getrow()=currentrow(),1,0). For the display copy,
if(getrow()=currentrow(),0,1).

unless you just need to display a code value
If you only use the dddw for selecting a code value and not showing a description then just the filter is needed
