Hi,

I have an Advantage Data Dictionary in this way
"F:\aplica\desahugo\PasWinADV\PasWinADV.add" then I need to create a
temporary table like this:

select * into #CTRL_TMP from CTRL

In this point everything it's all right, but when I tried to use the
temporary table like this :

select * from #CTRL_TMP

Send me the next message :

"AdsQuery1: Error 7200: AQE Error: State = HY000; NativeError = 7008;
[Extended Systems][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 7008: The specified table,
memo file, or index file was
unable to be opened. Table name: #ctrl "

How can I use the temporal table ?

Thank's

You are correctly using the statements if both are executed on the same
connection. #Temp tables are only available on the connection that
created them.

The one thing here that bothers me is that you said:
select * from #CTRL_TMP

But the error message indicates:
"....Table name: #ctrl"

Notice the tablenames do not match.

Also,

I noticed in your next post you were using ADS 6.2. #temp tables were
first an option in version 8.x and greater
