The version on the website is the current version. (6.7)

v7 is scheduled to be released later this year, but no release dates
have been set at this time.

- just an update - for M-business products, it is not MySybase portal for
the application downloads - for some strange reason, it is
https://sybase.subscribenet.com/control/sybs/login -

- any idea why MySybase is not the portal for all Sybase licensed products
or that there aren't links there to the correct download locations? -

MySybase is our publicly-available website for documentation and
patches. The Software Product Download Center (SPDC) at
http://sybase.subscribenet.com/ is the website where registered users
with a valid product purchase go to download the software that they've
paid for. It's directly linked on our website, on all pages, underneath
"Support & Downloads" -> "Product Download Center (SPDC)"

If you're missing a certain version of M-Business on the SPDC, you
should call your sales associate for more information regarding your
account.

"...MySybase is our publicly-available (?) website for documentation and
patches..."

Actually, some of my licensed products are downloaded via MySybase "Profiled
Downloads" and some via the SPDC - both seperately tracking licensed
products - neither offering access to all purchased & licensed products -

- if MySybase is supose to be a portal (?) to track technical documents,
case activity (& scase submission), profiled downloads, and newsgroups, it
is missing the direct connection to SPCD downloadable purchased & licensed
products -

- two seperate logins - why?

- why are there no
M Y S Y B A S E D A I L Y N O T I F I C A T I O N
emails about new releases of M-Business - it is almost daily now that
mysybase@sybase.com sends out notifications about everything else BUT
M-business products -

This statement is not correct. The SPDC *should* have all of your bought
products listed - if this is not the case, please contact your sales
rep. The MySybase area (http://www.sybase.com/mysybase/) is for patches,
samples, and documentation. You can also download our trial/developer
editions of our products from this area.

Under my SPDC account (at http://sybase.subscribenet.com), I can see the
following entries:

- M-Business Anywhere
- 6.7 M-Business Anywhere 6.7 Application Edition ADL for Windows x86
- 32bit Jan 18, 2008
- 6.7 M-Business Anywhere 6.7 Web Edition ADL for Windows x86 - 32bit

The link is in the main navigation menu. At the top of every sybase.com
webpage, you should see:

"About Sybase", "Products", "Mobile Services", "Professional Services",
"Support & Downloads", "Shop Online".

Underneath the "Support & Downloads" category, there is a direct link to
the SPDC, entitled "Product Download Center (SPDC)"

> - two seperate logins - why?

MySybase is a free-to-register website so that you can access our free
online resources. The SPDC is a sales-account controlled website, where
only named contacts on a sales contract can log in and download the
products that they've paid for.

There hasn't been any releases or updates to M-Business that have been
released to our website, hence there is nothing to announce via e-mail.
I'm sure you'll see an e-mail once v7 launches on a later date.

Jeff - this statement IS "correct" for is what I see at each site - some
software releases in both places - what is downlaoded where has always been
an issue for the 2 sybase products we use (Pylon AnyWhere & M-Business) -
Pylon download new release links are at MySybase; my M-biz download links
are at SPDC -

- in fact, not long ago, MySybase didn't have any links, reference or
technical references to anything M-Business - I've always questioned that -

Just to help add to the confusion

Jeff is correct, The "standard" approach is that SPDC is for product, and
mySybase is for maintenance releases that are freely available.

That said, various products, for historical reasons, have taken (or are
taking) time to come into conformance with the standard.

The same is true for technical web content.
