Hi

I'm using PB 10.2

After having googled and read in documentation as well as
tested in PB itself, I have come to the conclusion that you
can only access objects in the nested report (not composite)
through dot notatation. Not even
maindw.modify('nestrep[row].attribute') will work. Meaning
that you can not address nested report objects dynamically,
but only by explicit reference to each individual object.

I'm I correct in this, or is there a dynamic way? Maybe in
PB11?

regards

not natively. Maybe create a modified version of syntax, LibraryImport into
a temporary pbl ahead of the real one in library list?

no, nor in 11.5. You might enter or vote for this enhancement at

You are correct. For reports nested on non-composites you can use
modify/describe to access properties of the nested report definition, but
not row specific values like data.

John
