Hi to all,

someone has idea how to implement a dw with the first two columns fixed,
and the rest scrolling horizontally with the scrollbar (such as a sort
of spreadsheet) ?

TIA
bob

You'd be better off pretending....

Put 2 datawindows with no borders next to each other and sync their
vertical scrolling.

Hi Roberto;

Here is what I do ....

May I suggest:

1) Use two DW Controls side by side
2) Use a DataStore to retrieve the basic data.
3) For the DS, create a DW Object that retrieves all the needed columns.
4) Create two DW objects using the same SQL as in Step # 3
- 1st DWO, hide all the columns except the 1st two.
- 2nd DWO, hide only the 1st two columns.
5) Add the DWO's to the two DC's as per Step #1
6) Use a ShareData between the DS and the two DC's
7) Code the RowFocusChanged in the left DC to highlight rows in itself and
RH DC.

HTH

Doesn't the dw_1.HSplitScroll = TRUE do this for you?

Unfortunately, with that option, you can not freeze the LH scroll bar. :-(
If that is not a problem ... then this is the easiest solution.

IF pane = 1 THEN

Thanks for the great TIP Jerry!
I never thought of that one before (always something to learn about PB).

Hmmm ... This would be great to implement in a DC Super Class! :-)

I'm still looking for an event that fires when the user moves the split, so
that can be controlled as well.
