PB 10.5.2

Hey all! In a datawindow, I want the up/down arrows to do what they normally
do. But when a user presses tab, I want to actually tab to the next object
in the window. I have successfully trapped the keys in a custom event using
pbm_dwnkey. And it will correctly jump to an object out of the datawindow,
but not until after it has still moved to new row in the datawindow. I need
to prevent that row change!

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.
Jason Lipman

Did you return 1 to indicate that the key message has been processed?

Yes.. "RETURN 1" is working. But I did not try that initially because the
Help system says that "RETURN 1" only applies to Rich Text controls. I
decided to try anyway, and it worked!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Return value
Long. Return code choices (specify in a RETURN statement):
0 Continue processing
1 Do not process the key (RichTextEdit controls only)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks,
Jason Lipman

It's not the first time the documentation missed something. Return 1 is a
standard way of letting Windows know the message has been processed.
