Hi,
I have an ole container that's used to open word docs in a
PB applicayion (ver 6.5).
I want to save the contents of a datawindow to a word doc so
that it can be opened with this container.
I've tried saving as a htmp file with the .doc suffix but I
get an invalid format error when I try to open the file.
Does anyone have any workarounds? I've tried saving the
datawindow in different formates but get the same result. Do
I need a separate ole container and if so what type?

Thanks,
Sean

Use a RichTextEdit control, and then SaveDocument() to save in
Word-compatible format.

Thanks Paul,
will investigate the RichTextEdit control,
using this approach would I still be saving the document
from the datawindow and using insertdocument on the control?
If so what format should the datawindow be saved in?

Regards
Sean

I didn't see that you're still on 6.5. I'm not sure what solutions are
available for that version.

Are you saying you want a Word-compatible version of the datawindow - with
formatting and everything? I'm not sure that's available unless you migrate
to 11.5, where have the RichTextEdit as a column edit style.
