I can't get the datawindow radiobuttons to work, and I can't find how to use
them in the help files (PB11).

Does the column need to be of a specific type in order to use radiobuttons?

The property Columns Across and Code Table is unknown to me.. what do I need
to set here?

When I add rows to my datawindow I tried :

dw_1.SetItem(ll_row, 'string_value', 'testing')
dw_1.SetItem(ll_row, 'radio_btn_1', TRUE) //an attempt to set the
radiobutton to checked.

This does not work as the datawindow does not even show the radiobuttons at
all.

Could anyone give me a clue?

Hi O;

For any column .. have a look at the "Edit" tab page in the column's
properties pane - then focus on the "Style Type" property. All you need to
do is specify an Style Type of RadioButton, add the Display and Data value
mappings and there you have it. RB's can work for any standard data type.

There is a summary in the Users' Guide in chapter 12 Working with Controls
in the topic Using the individual controls.
Any data type other than blob ought to work.
Columns Across is how the buttons are spread out:
O O O is 3 columns
O
O
O
is 1 column. The number of rows will depend on how many values you define
and how you size the column.

Code table sets the data value and display value for each button. For
example, Employee status might have
Active A
Sabbatical S
Retired R
Former F

To set the column value, you just SetItem to the appropriate data value and
the appropriate button will be selected.
dw_1.SetItem (ll_row, 'employee_status', 'A')

Is it possible to use the radiobutton with only one button per row?
As a way to show which row is selected?

The radiobutton edit style is a way of helping the user choose from a set of
values for a column. Maybe what you want is the SetRowFocusIndicator()
function.
