I am attempting to take advantage of the 'unlimited free use' of the Sybase
Workspace Database Development module. I registered for the free license
and downloaded the product. I've installed, but now when I bring it up, I
get a warning message:
"The Sybase WorkSpace feature SWS_DATA (Database Development) isn't
licensed. You have been granted a trial license, which will expire on Jan
15, 2009......"
Have I missed a step with the free license? Thanks for any info.

Rebecca,

I've attached a new license you can use to extend your current WorkSpace
until the end of 2009.

BUT, WorkSpace 2.1 is about to be posted on www.sybase.com. I think you
would benefit by upgrading.

I will make a newsgroup posting with WorkSpace 2.1 is on www.sybase.com.

Regards,
Mike

Thank-you Mike! Will normal licensing fees apply after 2009?

That's cool !
I am using 2.0.2 for ASA/ASE Development only.
Now after updating the license, The Edittng SQL does not longer
see "//" as a comment and I can not find the excute SQL Icon (Toolbar).
What I see now are a lot of DB Vendors listed in the Listboxes to
configure a Database.
I can connect and see all Tables etc, but the core functions
to edit *.sql files and to let them run against the DB seems to be broken..
I get a lot of ASA 9.x errors.

The tool is unusable now :-(

But hey, is this link pointing to the newer version, Worskpace 2.1?!
