Hi,

in a grid dw, is it possible to get the order of the columns
and width, in order to put them the same place (or make not
visible) they where the last time the window was open?

Thanks,
Josep.

You have to loop through the columns and record their respective X and
Width properties. To reapply, I think you have to destroy the columns
and recreate them in the appropriate order. Googling this newsgroup may
give you more detailed information.

Hi,

as far as I remember it is enough to make all columns invisible
first an then visible again in left to right order and apply the
formerly stored X and width values.

What I do is run through a loop in the x order of the new position and set the column's width and x values.
I do not make them invisible or destroy/create the columns, just set the .x and .width values.
I run that loop twice since processing only once doesn't always 'take'

Setting them visible/invisible didn't work for me for computed fields.

Note with a grid, setting the visible property to "0" is different to
setting the visible property to "1~t0".
