Greetings,

I have successfully installed the free ASE 15.0.2
Developper´s edition software on several Windows XP PCs,
all configured with English Windows Software.

I just recently performed the same task on a PC configured
with Spanish Windows Software.

All the Sybase Software installed correctly, incluing all
the canned scripts like intpbs2.

However, when I connect to the server and issue the most
basic interactive or scripts based commands, such as:

dump database master to master.dmp

I get the following message: ¨error next to .¨

The character set and sort order of the server is cp850.

Does anyone have any idea of what I can do? Add Spanish as a
language to the ASE server?

I am really at a loss here and this is preventing me from
executing the most basic commands.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Jean-Pierre

Try posting this to an ASE-specific newsgroup, such as

sybase.public.ase.upgrades+migration

This newsgroup is devoted to iAnywhere products such as SQL Anywhere.
