Hi all,

Does M-Biz 7.0 support SQL Anywhere 11.0.0 and SQL Anywhere 11.0.1?

If not, when will it support it?

The documentation references only 10.0.1.

Cheers,

Shao

It does not.

There is currently no published timeline for v11 to be integrated

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that.

Quick question....I raised this question because someone from iAnywhere
support told me that SQL Anywhere 11.0.1. is not supported.

However, we're not sure if we're talking about the same thing.

M-Biz uses a version of SQL Anywhere internally to maintain its own
information such as users etc. That could be a Microsoft SQL Server
database - it does not really matter. As M-Biz embeds the SQL Anywhere
database insides its application its up to M-Biz to decide what version of
technology to use.

When we ask the question of whether or not M-Biz supports 11.0.1. we use
things such as ulpod9.dll for clientside creation/access of an Ultralite
database and for it to synchronise to the server. Therefore, we need to
know if ulpod11.dll is supported.

So when we say that we need M-Biz to support 11.0.1 we mainly mean the pod
and the Mobilink support.

Cheers,

Shao

AFAIK the answer is the same

P.S. Yes, I know you have gotten this answer from support. It is the one
we were given by Product Management

Hmm....then that's not good. :(

1) iAnywhere developed products for us in 9.0.2. with unsupported
combinations.

2) iAnywhere were distributing MIT with SQLA 10 which was not supported.
Although since the release of M-Biz 7.0 that is no longer so.

3) If it takes this long for M-Biz to support the latest versions and if
they skip every other version, we should not have been recommended the M-Biz
/ Mobilink / ASA / Ultralite combination in the first place.
