How sort works in Datawindow

I want to understand the sort functionality in datawinodw,

when datawindow will retrieve then

1.. Data comes into Primary buffer
2.. when I soft it then data is still in Primary buffer with sorted form
and one copy of original data will goes to Original buffer. ????????????????
( correct?)
3.. now when I want data in the form in which I retrieved first time, how
I can achieve it ?
4.. I thing I can copy from original buffer ?

Please guide me

The original values stay matched with the rows - they are used in forming
the SQL statement when you Update().
To get an original value with GetItemXXX, use the optional argument TRUE.
You can also get original values with the datasource element in dot
notation, see the help topic "About DataWindow data expressions" .
