Hi all,

I have setup MIT but I am having difficulty synchronising the user.

Mobilink is setup on port: 2439.

Under channel\common\html\ml_connection.jsp and ml_connection.jsp-PDA I have
changed the host to the IP of my machine.

However, for some reason, when I log onto MIT it does not appear to reach
the Mobilink server. I can do an M-Biz app sync so I know that everything
is working okay through ActiveSync, but I cannot log on to MIT.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Shao

Hi Shao,

ml_connection.jsp is the right file to be looking at. I'm not sure what
ml_connection.jsp-PDA is...

I'm assuming that the MLStreamType is still "STREAM_TYPE_TCPIP" and that
you are not using a MobiLink redirector. If you are using a redirector,
then you would have to update the getMLUrlSuffix() to reflect your
redirection URL and then uncomment the setUrlSuffix line...

function mlSync( publicationNamesArray ) {
...
//gDatabase.setUrlSuffix( getMLUrlSuffix() );

Is the getMLHost() value the same as the host name you are using for MBA
Synchronisation?

Lastly, just to make sure that you are actually synchronising down the
correct file, you can change the gFileVersion of ml_connection.jsp at
the top

Change the string of "$Revision: #16 $" to 17.

if ( window.gFileVersion != null && window.gFileVersion != undefined ) {
gFileVersion.add( "$File:
//appdev/mainline/projects/ias_frameworks/dev/solutions/mobile_inspection/dev/server/channel/common/html/ml_connection.jsp
$",
gMajorVersion + "." + gMinorVersion + ".",
"$Revision: #16 $" );

Then in the client, in the title area of the application click "More"
and then "About" and you should see the version of ml_connection.jsp is
the new number 17. If it is staying at 16, then your Tomcat might be
caching the JSP page or something like that.
