Hi, I have a new Windows server, Afaria 6.0 Trial installed,
Administrator installed, the administrator gui comes up ok,
going to 'Access Policies' in order to add a server, type in
machine name and IP, but the 'Test Connection' fails.
Message is:
Server ANNGPMMAP905at adress(0.0.0.0) is not responding at
this time. Make sure the server is running and is correctly
configured for access.

I have Afaria Service running, on default port 3007. I am
not sure how to configure the server for access.

This worked last time I installed ... not sure what the
problem is. Where are the log files ?

Thanks
Boje

Boje,
Is there a firewall in between the Afaria Server and the Afaria
Administrator systems?
Are the Server and Administrator components installed on the same
machine?
Is the system multi-homed (multiple NICs on separate IP segments)?

Port 3007 is the default port for Afaria Client to Server communication
and has nothing to do with how the Afaria Server and Afaria Administrator
communicate.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
just saw this response. i am running Administrator and
Server on the same machine.
The machine is part of a two server cluster, wonder if
that's my problem here ?

Hi all,

I face similar issue with Afaria 6.6 setup. Server and Admin
are installed on the same machine. But AfariaAdmin cannot
connect to AfariaServer.

Can someone give an example what should be configured in the
'Server Data'-Address field in AfariaAdmin-AccessPolicy
setup?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Bjoern
