Dear all,

I am able to connect to the DB through Sybase Java Central.
If I connect to the same server through SQL Advantage, I am
getting the error as "ct_connect(): network packet layer:
internal net library error: Unable to find an available
protocol driver structure"

Kindly help us with your solution.

Thanks,
sangeetha

I would think this problem is due to a mismatch in libraries in your
path. I would look at the path used under SQL Advantage and try to
use isql from that same directory location.

Since SQL Advantage is pretty old I would suspect that the executable
for it uses 12.5 library names like libct.so or libct.dll. If you
have an install of 15.x then the libraries are named libsybct.so and
libsybct.dll etc.

There is a script to create a set of renamed libraries in
../OCS-15_0/scripts

If you have DBISQL you should give it a try as it is the SQL Advantage
replacement product.

Usually this error is because the newtwork protocol defined
in your dsedit /ini file is not available on your clint from
where you are running the sql advantage program.
