Hi all,

What would cause the above error message?

In full:
The file ':MSREMNET' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a
trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the
problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

Searching the internet indicates something web related:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=352426

This happens sometimes after a PDA has been running for a while and then a
sync of the application channels is performed within the M-Biz client.

When this problem occurs I simply tell the user to soft-reset the device,
but I would like to know how to overcome this problem.

Cheers,

Shao

Shao,

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest this is a much lower-level
issue than us. It seems like this is the network device interface (used
as such here:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/vssmartdevicesnative/thread/216f5896-10a0-4bad-a5ee-8dc7e5cf267d
), which becomes unavailable 'at times'.

If following up with Microsoft and the hardware vendor doesn't yield
results, I think you might be out of luck. :(

Regards,

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for that. That seems to be the issue, but these devices are locked
down and so Mobilink and the M-Biz client are the only 2 things accessing
any hardware.

Also, we can perform a Mobilink sync, but not an M-Biz application sync.

However, as the issue only occurs very rarely, its not anything we can't
live with. :)

Thanks.

Shao
