Hi,

I have an Item Table which stores picture of each item as a
blob. I want to generate a item list report that will
display picture for each item.

I used the following in my PB application and work fine.
However, when I deployed it in Appeon, the application just
displays the path and not the picture. Is display as picture
property supported? If not, what other option do I have?
Please help. Thanks.

1) After the SelectBlob - write the picture from the Blob
variable to a file
2) Use a column and issue a setitem for the file and path
into the DW's column. Set the "Display as Picture: property
on the DW column.

Hi,

Appeon has no problem to support either SelectBlob or
“Display as Picture: property on the DW column”. The
cause of your issue might be because of the reference of the
relative path. Please note that the reference of the
relative path on the Web is Desktop. However in PowerBuilder
the reference of relative path is the target application's
current directory. I suggest you use the absolute path to
avoid the difference between Appeon and PowerBuilder.

Regards
Steven

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the reply. I am using an absolute path to write
and reference the pictures.

dw_print.object.stock[i] = "c:\Temp\stock." + string (i) +
"gif"

When displaying the report, the column just displays
"c:\Temp\stock1.gif"
