Hi, we have just migrated our application from PB 9.0.1 to
PB 11.5.1 Build 4011. We use two custom gifs for our row
focus indicators, a green arrow when the datawindow has
focus and a gray arrow when the datawindow does not have
focus.

After migrating to 11.5, the row focus icon randomly does
not display. Sometimes it's the green icon, sometimes the
gray. This does not happen every time (about 5-10 % of the
time) but when it does, it affects all the datawindows on
the window. (Note: the default hand seems to work, but is
not what the users want)

Has anyone experienced this or have a possible solution?

I wouldn't mind getting rid of the row focus indicator and
using just the PFC row selection service, but the service
does not change color when the datawindow losses focus, and
the users need the ability to tell which datawindow has
focus.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Rick

I found the RFI functionality did not support transparent GIFS from PB
6.0 through PB 10.5. So we use a bitmap object instead. We use
expressions to show which row is active. Basically if
getrow=currentrow then show else hide. You may want to try something
like this. Add a computed column to your sql to determine when the
datawindow has focus. Then in the getfocus event set a value in the
column and on losefocus clear or set a different value. Always use row
1 and then you have a consistent location to look into. Then your
expression form the bitmap would be if getrow = currentrow and
hasfocuc[1]='Y', then green else red. More twicking will be needed but
this is basiclly the idea.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the response.

I tried your suggestion, and was very surprised when it did
the same thing.

Thanks again, I'll just have to find some other way indicate
focus.
