Hi guys. I have this problem when trying to deploy PB
winforms across the network. After publishing I can install
the prerequisites and install the application on the local
machine. However, doing it from a remote PC refuses with the
error " cannot download PowerBuilder.Net runtime" and
generates the error log attached. Any assistance will be
greatly appreciated.

So, is the powerbuilder.net runtiime published to the server?

Even if the option to deploy .net 2 runtime and powerbuilder.net
runtime are checked, they exist under the [Drive]:\Program Files
(x86)\Sybase\PowerBuilder 11.x\DotNET\pbiu\BootStrapper\Packages\
folder?

Hi Nyandoro,

From the error log in your attached file:
+ Configuration system failed to initialize
+ The 'DbProviderFactories' start tag on line 182 does not match the end
tag of 'add'. Line 191, position 6.
(C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config line
191)
+ The 'DbProviderFactories' start tag on line 182 does not match the end
tag of 'add'. Line 191, position 6.

It indicates error in your machine.config file --> line 182
<DbProviderFactories> and line 191 <add>., please check this file first and
then deploy/publsih and download your app again.

Thanks,
Maggie
