Hi all,

i have a problem adding columns to an existing external datawindow using Pb
10.5.

I have used DwSyntax tool to compose 'Create' string to pass to dw.Modify
method.

I have seen that Pb allow me to add a number of columns equal to the total
number defined on the external dw using the painter , after it returns an
incorrect syntax error at the position of the ')' .

Then i think that i first need to add columns to 'Table' portion of an
external dw, but there is a way to do this?

Thanks

Mark

Yes, you do have to replace the entire table= keyword in the syntax. The
Create keyword only generates the visible column, not the definition in the
buffers.

Ok,

but which is the method to use with an external dw?

I can't find no 'Table' attribute to modify it directly.

Thanks

Mark

Take a look at the syntax and you should see the table property - it just
doesn't have any SQL. It's been a while since I did that - you may have to
replace the whole syntax with Create.
