I want to create an application accessible over web using smart client feature
of winform target. what is the difference between smart client application and
winform application and web target application. Are there any limitations with
smart client?

Can someone give me a link to examples of smart client applications?

thank you

Web target = client is Internet Explorer browser, and there's no client
footprint at all. N-tier architecture.

Winform target = client is locally installed on the end-user workstation
(i.e., fat client). The database drivers and PB runtimes need to be
installed there as well. 2-tier client/server architecture.

Winform target with SmartClient deployment = Winform, but the app can check
a URL to determine if a newer build has been staged and automatically update
itself on the client.
