I am using PB 11.2 b8806. How can I used data pipeline object in a window. I
think I have to instanciate the data pipeline object, but them what do I
have to do to used this object. Where can I find it functionality. I try to
use the browser inside PB interface but it does not show Data Pipeline
objecs.
I am trying to integrade QuickBooks 9 with our application, so I am
extracting some data from qb and placing it into our database via Data
Pipeline. I can used it in the PB workspace with no problem, it transfer the
data perfect, but I want to give this functionality to a end user.

Is there an example I can review? Or someone that knows and wants to share
how is done?

regards,

Clarence

You create a user object inherited from pipeline, assign dataobject =
'p_the_pipeline_you_painted', call Start(). There is an example in the code
sample application that comes with PB.

As Jerry Siegel told you, uoy must instantiate an object.

Example:

pipeline pl_my_pipeline
datastore lds_error

lds_error = create datastore

pl_my_pipeline = create pipeline

pl_my_pipeline.dataobject = 'my_pipeline_object'

// Using start() you should provide some infos:
// arg1: sourceconnection, arg2: destinationconnection,

pl_my_pipeline.start(sqlca, sqlca2, lds_error, ... [arguments]...)

if isvalid(pl_my_pipeline) then destroy pl_my_pipeline
if isvalid(lds_error) then destroy lds_error

Depending on what exactly you want to do you should take a look to
pipeline object events pipestart, pipemeter, pipeend.

Explanation in help files is really very simple.
Take a look.
